Celina Lake Festival 5K - 8:00 Start

Believe it or not we are already into the sixth 5K of the Mercer Health 5K Challenge.  The Celina Lake Festival 5K is this weekend’s event, on Saturday, July 25th.  This race features a scenic lakeside run on Lakeshore Drive and Westbank Rd. Registration begins at 6:45 AM with the race starting at 8:00 sharp. Preregistration is being accepted at the Celina-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, 226 N. Main St., Celina, OH 45822 thru Thursday, July 23rd.

The Lake Festival 5K race directors have added an extra 65 and over age group for men and women. For Challenge purposes, those individuals will still be scored in the 60 and over age group.

If you are participating in at lease six of the eight Challenge races, please submit your shirt size as soon as possible so that you are certain to be award your shirt at the conclusion of the Burkett 5K on August 8th. If you have participated in at least 3 Challenge events this year you can still earn your shirt by participating in the three final Challenge 5K’s.

          July 25th – Celina Lake Festival 5K

          August 1st – Coldwater Buzzard’s Glory 5K

          August 8th – Burkettsville 5K

And of course, if you have competed in the first five events you only have three more to complete to earn your “All Eight” Challenge award, a half-zip runners pullover.
